Mickey, Kermit & Spidey

I don’t think I have ever seen so much negative reaction to a company merger as I have seen with Disney buying Marvel. When Disney bought the Muppets that made sense  as Kermit and the gang would fit right in with Mickey and Donald.  But Spider-Man and the Hulk? That just doesn’t seem to gel for me.  Which seems to be the big complaint?  Are we still going to get great action packed and thought provoking movies like Iron Man and Spider-Man 2?  Or are they going to become water downed kid friendly G-rated films? (The thought of Sam Raimi working for the Mouse would give anyone pause) But you know what nobody is talking about?  The theme park.  In Florida, the Universal Theme Park was the home of Marvel superheroes. Now they belong to Disney and will become a part of there park, possibly as an attraction on their MGM park.  This has got to be a big blow to Universal.  While they still have attractions like Shrek and the classic monsters, a major draw were the superheroes and now they’re gone.  Makes you wonder if Disney bought Marvel just to try and take out a amusement park rival.
