Another Great One Passes Away

Last week the great Richard Widmark passed away.  A great actor who contributed greatly to such films as Kiss of Death (1947) (his only Oscar nomination), Pick Up on South Street (1953), The Alamo (1960), Madigan (1968), and Murder on the Orient Express (1974).  Though he hadn’t made a major film since the late nineties he was a regular face and voice on TV documentary features and shows, giving personal insights on actors, actresses, and the entertainment industry as a whole.  A man of quiet dignity and talent, he will be missed.
